smartercities: Songdo is not only South Korea’s smartest city, but the largest private real estate venture in history. ‘Built on an artificial island 56km west of Seoul, the 6 sq km city seems pretty conventional with offices, homes, shops, hotels and public spaces. But while South Koreans have the highest average IQ in the world, its Songdo’s technology, not people, that makes it so smart.’ I wonder if this is really “smart” development? Check back in 20 years!
